Sunnyside Condos in Sandy Bay hold a special place in JWDs heart because it was our first staging & design project in Roatan and kicked off our island business, in partnership with KWRoatan. And it was a big challenge! We started with condo #3, which was slightly outdated, had a mishmash of furniture that didn't match, and in general was dark and uninviting. Jeanna started with coaching the owner on what furniture needed to be transitioned out of the condo (this is a big part of the staging process — advice on how to bring more design and quality to the interior, whether it's removing/changing furniture, or updating fixtures and finishings). Once cleared out, Jeanna focused on bringing in island colors & faux plants, leveraging the condo's brown couch in a neutral-colored living room & creating light and bright bedrooms with jute rugs and coastal touches. The exciting part about this project is that the condo sold 5 days after we listed it! This really showcases the power of staging a condo to make it more appealing to buyers.
We then moved to condo #2 and staged it also with similar colors & a coastal feel that lightened up the space and made it more inviting.
